When you think of young style with a touch of vintage, nobody comes forth to the mind as quick as Rachel Baker. This pretty lass from Mumbai has an incredible eye for clothing and speaks vintage chic like no one else. She owns the blog Fashion Folktale also our Wonder Woople of the Week!
Rachel is a media grad who’s more inclined towards fashion and it’s like. She loves all things pink and shiny (very Hepburn-esque). In her free time, usually Rachel prefers reading or catching up on her favourite TV shows, if not shopping.

Tell us about the wackiest outfit you’ve put together?
I had once worn a ghaghra skirt and a tee for a family lunch when I was in school. It was horrendous!
If you could splurge on one thing, what would it be?
I’ve been eyeing the Michael Kors Hamilton Saffiano satchel for a while now.

Your favourite shopping destinations?
My favourite places to shop are Forever21, Zara, H&M, small boutiques and thrift stores at Hill road and Colaba. I also do a LOT of online shopping.
If you were given a choice between going Street shopping vs. Shopping at malls, which one would you pick?
I’d pick both. Shopping at a mall lets you buy pieces that you’ve been looking for. And when it comes to street shopping, you pick whatever you like. Also there’s this element of surprise included which makes it fun.
Who would you like to see most on Wooplr?
Anushka Manchanda. She has great taste.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To turn invisible maybe, haha! It’s really fascinating to think of all the things I could do if I turned invisible!
If we took a peek in to your refrigerator, what would we find?
All kinds of frozen foods! I dislike cooking.

Jalebi, any time!!!!

Fresh lime soda :p
Tell us about your favourite pair of shoes and where you got them.
These ankle strap heels I picked up from F21, they are my current fave.
Favourite cuisine?
Chinese and Italian.
What shopping tips would you like to share with others?
Hit up the sale rack first. You might find clothes that you’ve been wanting for a while from the brands previous collection. And don’t forget to check the rack in the trial room before giving up on finding a particular garment in your size. Also, never buy a garment without first trying it on.
What are your guilty pleasures?
Shopping! I do a lot of shopping and am therefore broke all year round.
What would you love to find in your Christmas stocking?
A Chanel Bag would be awesome!
What is the shopaholic’s spot you frequent most?
Forever 21 and Hill road :)
If you could go out with someone for an evening, who would it be?
Jennifer Lawrence. I’m in complete awe of that woman.
Are there any tips you would like to share with the rest of us on “how to shop for a new outfit”?
Try a new colour or print, something that you wouldn’t normally wear.
Your best bargain/thrift buy till date?
I got this tartan over coat from a flea market recently and absolutely love it.
What is your signature style accessory?
A pair of animal print sunglasses!
